A journey between jazz and avant-garde
First chosen as permanent arranger for the Paris Saxophone Quintet at a very young age, Claude Terranova quickly established himself as a versatile figure on the music scene.
He has recorded alongside jazz legends such as Martial Solal, Guy Pedersen and Daniel Humair, while exploring hybrid musical worlds, as reflected in the album Gulf String with Pierre Blanchard, Minino Garay, Claude Mouton, and Toukouleur, a bold fusion with Pascal Teillet, Arnold Mouéza and Matthieu Chedid's drummer, Cyril Atef.

The art of collaboration, from jazz to performing arts
His cross-disciplinary approach led him to collaborate with major artists from the contemporary dance world.
Within the Groupe de Recherche Chorégraphique de l'Opéra de Paris, he worked with iconic choreographers such as Merce Cunningham, Maurice Béjart, Kader Belarbi, and Marie-Claude Pietragalla, weaving a unique dialogue between music and movement.

Musical director and composer for the theatrical stage
Passionate about bridging disciplines, he joined forces with stage director Alfredo Arias, for whom he composed several stage scores, most notably for the Faust Argentin.
He also served as artistic director, conducting performers such as Thierry Arpino, David Venitucci and Haydée Alba.
His work is distinguished by a constant pursuit of pure emotion, where jazz improvisation and contemporary composition engage in a rich dialogue.

An eclectic discography and landmark projects
His musical universe and collaborations extend across a wide range of ensembles: he has performed alongside Etienne M'Bappé in Abdou M'Boop's sextet, with vocalist Carole Emard on the CTrio album Alternances, with Philippe Maté and English saxophonist Pete Osborne, and in trio with accordionists David Venitucci and Didier Ithursarry.
He can also be heard as a soloist on the live album Evanescence, in trio on Triple Cross by TLB alongside Jean-Paul Celea, and in his NovaTRio (Terranova/Lété/Cuisinier) – a mosaic performance reflecting his many experiences.
